Working Groups | Measurement and Indicators

The Measurement and Indicators Working Group works to supports the BC health system to use data to drive and evaluate improvement in the quality of care. In the first phase of its work, the group is working with representatives from each of the Health Authorities to develop principles for measurement, based on best practices - national and international - in quality measurement.

The group is committed to ensuring that appropriate data is collected and used for improvement, for decision making and for reporting requirements, with alignment between indicators at these different levels wherever possible. This working group is in a unique position to identify variation in indicator definitions across the province and promote commonality where useful.
