Evelyn Carroll
Evelyn Carroll is retired from an extensive career as a Registered Nurse. Subsequent to many years of hospital-based nursing in a wide range of roles, Ms. Carroll became a Nursing Practice Consultant and ultimately, Director of Professional Services for the Registered Nurses Association of BC. Her last position was as a self-employed Consultant in Health Care and Nursing.
Ms. Carroll has been active in many health board trustee roles. These include serving as Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Children's and Women's Health Centre of BC; Vice-Chair of the BC Research Institute for Children's and Women's Health; and Chair of the BC Transplant Society; as well as being a member of the BC Rehabilitation Society Board of Trustees. For two years she served as Co-Chair, Patient Rights Committee for the BC Civil Liberties Association. Most recently, Ms. Carroll was a Board member of the Provincial Health Services Authority and the Chair of its Board Quality and Access Committee. Ms. Carroll holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and a Master's degree in Adult Education, both from the University of British Columbia.
